Foundation Notes.
A record of how the Tarlino archive was assembled, the reasoning behind its editorial structure, and the qualification context of the individuals whose research informs each program entry.
The archive began as a private reference document in 2021.
The dietary research compiled here originated as a working document used internally by a small group of nutrition professionals in the Pacific Northwest. The shared observation was consistent: publicly available dietary guidance for men over thirty remained largely aggregated from general-population studies, with limited documentation of how nutritional requirements shift with age, activity type, and specific body composition goals.
The decision to formalize this research into an accessible archive followed three years of accumulation. By late 2023, the working document contained over two hundred meal composition entries, forty supplement ingredient profiles, and an annotated bibliography of peer-reviewed nutritional research. The Tarlino editorial team formalized it into the indexed archive now accessible here.
The name carries no particular etymological significance. It was selected for its neutrality — a proper noun without the category-signal language (strength, fuel, power) common in the men's wellness sector.
D. Hartwell
Fifteen years of practice in nutritional assessment for active men. Primary author of the macronutrient calibration and meal architecture entries. Specialist in sports nutrition for men thirty-five and above.
S. Moran
Responsible for the bibliography management and independent verification cross-referencing. Authors the supplement ingredient profiles and elemental concentration documentation for each batch entry.
R. Colvin
Brings a qualitative review perspective to program entries. Focuses on dietary frameworks for stress reduction, sleep-adjacent nutrition, and anti-aging dietary composition for men in their forties and fifties.
What this archive does — and does not — claim to do.
Tarlino documents dietary composition frameworks. It records macronutrient ratios, ingredient sourcing notes, serving composition data, and references to published nutritional research. It does not assess individual nutritional status, provide personalised recommendations, or substitute for guidance from a qualified wellness or nutrition professional.
We recommend speaking with a qualified wellness or nutrition professional before introducing any supplement to your daily routine, particularly if you have specific dietary requirements.
The archive is updated quarterly. Each revision is logged with a date and revision number. The current edition is Revision 09, published February 2026. Prior revisions remain accessible in the archive index.
“The value of this archive lies in its specificity — not in what it claims, but in what it records precisely and without editorial inflation.”
— D. Hartwell, Lead Contributor — Tarlino, 2024Initial Working Document Assembled
First internal compilation of macronutrient frameworks for men over thirty. Twelve meal composition entries and four supplement ingredient profiles. Circulated privately among contributing nutrition professionals in the Portland area.
Research Expansion — Intermittent Fasting Module
The fasting window meal composition section was added following a concentrated review of peer-reviewed nutritional research on time-restricted eating in men. Lot record traceability procedures were formalised for supplement entries during this phase.
Archive Formalisation — Tarlino Named
The working document was restructured into an indexed archive with a standardised entry format. Third-party independent batch verification procedures were adopted. The Tarlino name and identity were formalised. Total archive scope at this point: 200+ meal composition entries.
Revision 09 Published — Digital Archive Launch
The ninth formal revision of the Tarlino archive. Plant-based protein coverage expanded to thirty-two entries. Anti-aging nutrition and sleep-adjacent dietary composition modules added. The archive is now publicly accessible at tarlino.info.
Tarlino products are nutritional food-supplements registered with the applicable local regulatory authority under food-supplement classification. Products meet compositional and labelling requirements for nutritional supplement categories.
Ingredient profiles in Tarlino supplements are selected based on published nutritional research and undergo independent batch verification for quality and labelling accuracy. Active ingredients are sourced from documented suppliers, with each batch accompanied by a certificate of composition. Sourcing prioritises suppliers whose facilities maintain food-grade processing standards.
